Business Checking

Most businesses, small and large alike, realize that mixing business and personal expenses is an accounting nightmare.  You need separate accounts to maximize accuracy and ensure legality.  For small business, this is usually the first step in your financial journey and opens the door for other services such as small business loans.

United Citizens Bank & Trust Company has an affordable and easy to use business checking account that is suitable for all sizes and types of businesses.  We want to be your one stop location for all your business banking needs.  Your business finances should be uncomplicated and worry free.  You won’t find any surprise fees here.

Low minimum to open the account - $100.00.  Maintain an average monthly balance of $500 and avoid the monthly service charge of $8. Your average monthly balance is calculated at the end of each statement cycle and uses your ending balance each day.  Even if your account falls under $500 one day, you could still avoid the monthly service charge.  Per item fees of .20 cents apply if you have 250 or more debit items per statement cycle.  Credit items are always free.

Unlike other free business accounts, your transactions are free regardless of whether it is conducted online or in bank.  If you like coming into the bank to transact your deposits and/or withdrawals, we won’t charge you extra.  We are glad to see you! There are five convenient locations and in each of our branch offices you will find a staff of individuals who offer the fast, friendly services you, as a business owner, need.  Your time is valuable and we will take care of your needs promptly.

Do you prefer online services?  We have the choices you want and need. Access your account information, make transfers, pay bills, view and print your bank statements with our Internet banking solution UCOnline - all free.  Make deposits to your business account remotely with a check scanner provided by United Citizens as often as you want – all free! Check your balance, make transfers, pay bills, with your mobile device – all free!  Do you prefer to receive your statements electronically? – No problem and all free!  Our Internet Banking allows you to download your account transactions to your business accounting software – all free!  We provide many download formats so check your software product to see which is the correct one for you.

The following online services are also available and are subject to per item/transaction fees.  Contact us for more details.

  • Cash Management – create and submit ACH billing and payroll files.
  • Merchant Card Services- Competitive pricing through our partner BancCard
