Rules and Terms of Entry:
Eligibility
The photo contest is open to all amateur, aspiring, and professional photographers. Entrants must be 18 years or older to enter in the non-youth categories. Youth General Category is limited to those under 18 years of age only.
Photos must have been taken in the following counties: Henry, Oldham, Carroll, or Trimble.

Submissions
Photos must be submitted in digital format in .JPG, .PNG., or PDF format. Photos may be submitted via this page of United Citizens Bank’s website: www.unitedcitizensbank.com/photocontest. Contestants may submit up to two (2) photos per category.
Submissions are accepted until 11:59 pm EST on September 30th.

Ethics
Entrants must disclose the circumstances under which an image was captured. The welfare of a subject (human, animal, environmental, or otherwise) must be placed ahead of the desire to capture a photograph. Upon entry, entrants certify that no people, animals, or the environment were harmed in creating a photograph.
The entrant certifies that they are the sole creator and copyright owner of the submitted photograph.
Cropped photographs are eligible in all categories. Photos that have been enhanced or altered, digitally or otherwise, are not eligible, except in the Altered category. If the judges determine that a photo has been altered by the entrant of that photo, they reserve the right to disqualify the entrant or move the image to the Altered category.
For all recognizable persons depicted in the photograph, you must provide a model release from the subject (or guardian, in the case of a minor) upon request by United Citizens Bank. For photographs depicting another person’s artwork (painting, statues, or other copyrightable work) must also be prepared to provide a release from the copyright holder upon request. If the entrant is unable to provide required releases, United Citizens Bank reserves the right to disqualify the submission.

Licensing
Entrants retain the right to their photograph. However, by entering the Contest, you grant United Citizens Bank and those authorized by United Citizens Bank an irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free license to reproduce, distribute, publicly display and create derivative works of the photos, in whole or in part, in any media, for no additional compensation, including, but not limited to: advertising and promotion, display in the physical bank branches, on any social media, or the Bank’s website, Unitedcitizensbank.com. All photography reproduced will include name credit.

Judging
Photography entries will be judged by a panel consisting of United Citizens Bank employees and board members. Entries will be judged based upon creativity, originality, quality, and category.
Judged will select a first, second, and third place winner for each category. Prices are as follows:
First Place: $150 Second Place: $100 Third Place: $50
Winners will be notified by October 10th. Winners will be announced on social media, the bank’s website, and will also be posted in each branch lobby.

Conditions of entry
United Citizens Bank is not liable for any costs, injuries, damages, or other claims incurred as a result of entrants’ participation in the contest or winner’s acceptance and usage of a prize. Entrants are solely responsible for their entries. Entrants may not submit any material that may introduce any software viruses, worms, malware, or any other programs designed to damage software, hardware, or telecommunications equipment. Entrants may not submit any material that is off-topic, partisan-political, containing advertising, nudity, personal attacks, expletives, or is otherwise abusive, threatening, unlawful, discriminatory, harassing, libelous, obscene, false, sexually explicit, or that infringes on the rights of any third party.

This contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. United Citizens Bank reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. United Citizens Bank reserves the right to award or not award prizes at its sole discretion in the event of a dispute regarding the contest winners. United Citizens Bank reserves the right to disqualify any entrant whose entry or conduct appears in any way to tamper with competition, violate the rules or other applicable law or regulation in any way, impede the enjoyment or peace of others, infringe on the rights of any persons, or act in any unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Decisions of United Citizens Bank are final and binding.
