Meet the leadership team of United Citizens Bank & Trust.

Doug Schlosnagle

CEO
Director since 2005

Doug began his career in banking after working 20 years in the Farm Credit system. He has a B.S. degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Kentucky.

Doug is also a farmer, and together with his family, owns and operates a 300 acre beef cattle farm near Pleasureville. He has been raising Angus cattle since he was eleven years old. Doug and his his wife, Susan, have two children- a son and daughter, as well as two grandsons. 

Doug believes that the presence of a strong, locally owned bank is one of the greatest assets a community can possess. As Henry County's only remaining locally owned bank, he believes that his greatest contribution to this community has been to assure that United Citizens Bank & Trust continues to grow and remain financially strong so we can continue to be a driver of economic growth and prosperity for the residents of Henry and all surrounding counties. 

Dennis Raisor

Director since 1994

Dennis is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, where he earned a BBA in Accounting. 

Dennis is actively involved in the community. He is a member of the Carrollton Rotary Club, a member of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, and a member of Carrollton Education Foundation. Dennis is also on the Carroll County Hospital Board, and is a member of Worthville Baptist Church. 

Dennis and his wife, Pamela, have two daughters.

Robert Mason

Director since 2018

Robert is retired from the State of Kentucky, where he gave thirty years of service. Robert has also managed Mason Brothers Farms since 2015. Robert studied Agricultural Economics at the University of Kentucky, has an associate's degree in Business Administration from Waterson College, and a degree in Political Science/History from the University of Louisville. 

Robert currently resides in Henry County with his dog Holly. He is a fan of UK sports and Cincinnati Reds. He is a Kentucky history buff, and also enjoys appraising furniture, antiques, and Native American artifacts. 

William Welty, Sr

Director since 2010

Bill has owned several businesses over his career, in which he was self-employed form 1969-2010. He has been involved in a donut shop, rental properties, restaurants, real estate sales, manufactured housing sales, and farming. 

Bill is a graduate of Trimble County High School, and is involved in several community organizations. He served 9 years as mayor of Carrollton, and served on the planning and housing authority. He is the present chairman of Carrollton Utilities. He has been a member for many years of the CCCDC, is involved in the Carroll County food pantry, and was a founding member of Ohio Valley United Charities. He is also a deacon of First Baptist Church of Carrollton. 

Bill and his wife of 56 years, Pat, have four children, eleven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Jerry Brent

President
Director since 1965

Jerry has been with United Citizens Bank since 1963, when it was still United Farmers Bank. Over the years, Jerry has held many titles at the Bank- Assistant cashier, teller, installment loan department manager, branch manager of the Turners Station branch, VP/branch manager of Pendleton branch, interim CEO, and is currently President. He has been the Secretary to the Board for thirty years. 

Jerry is a graduate of Campbellsburg High School. He has a bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University, and attended Trust School at Campbell College.

Jerry has been a member of several community organizations in the past, including the Henry County Chamber of Commerce, the Campbellsburg Chamber of Commerce, the Henry County Jaycees, the Henry County Historical Association, the Henry County Library Board and the Campbellsburg Lions Club. 

Jerry and his wife, Mary Ann, currently reside in Campbellsburg. They have one son and three grandchildren.

Roger Taylor, Jr

Director since 1994

Roger's background is in farming, and he also spent 26 years working for the Western District Warehousing Corp. He has a BS in Agricultural Education from the University of Kentucky. 

Roger serves on the Shelby Energy Board as secretary/treasurer, and also serves on the board of the Little KY River Watershed as secretary/treasurer. 

Roger and his wife, Candace, have two sons as well as 6 grandchildren.

Gary Hardy

Director since 2020

Gary has been in banking for almost 43 years, primarily in Oldham County. He is a graduate of both Sullivan College and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.

Gary is involved with the Oldham community- He is a board member of the Oldham County Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the Mallory Taylor Foundation, and finally a board member of the Every Slice Matters Foundation. 

Gary and his wife, Kathy, reside in Oldham County. They have three daughters and a total of seven grandchildren. Gary enjoys spending time on his family farm. He even sold his last motorcycle to spend more time on his tractor on the farm. He also enjoys shooting sports every chance he gets.

Jay Hall

Director since 2009

Jay's background is in insurance and real estate. He has been a licensed insurance agent since 1978, as well as a licensed real estate broker since 1979. Jay is the owner and president of Insurance Associates, Inc., which was opened in 1970. They have offices in LaGrange, New Castle, and Carrollton. Jay is also a commercial and residential real estate developer. He has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Eastern Kentucky University, as well as a degree in Insurance.

Jay serves on several boards, including United Citizens. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Samuel Peyton Head Charitable Trust, as well as a member of the board of Directors for the Mallory Taylor Foundation Charitable Trust. Jay is the commissioner and chairman of the Oldham County Water District. 

Jay is a member of Crestwood Christian Church, a member of the Oldham Co. Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Oldham County History Center. He is also a member and past director of the Independent Insurance Agents of Kentucky, and a member and past chairman of the Education Committee for the State of Kentucky. 

Jay and his wife of 32 years, Debbie, have two children. They currently reside in LaGrange.

Mary Berry

Director since 2003

Mary's background is in farming; in fact, she has been a full-time farmer for thirty years. Mary is also the Executive Director of The Berry Center. Mary holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky. 

Mary serves on the board of Sterling College, as well as the board of the Schumacher Center. She is a member of Port Royal Baptist Church. 

Mary and her husband, Steve, have three children and three grandchildren. Mary is the fifth generation of her family to serve on the board of directors of United Citizens Bank.

John Logan Brent

Director since 2017

John is the Henry County Judge Executive, and is also a farmer. He is a graduate of Henry County High School and the University of Kentucky. John and his wife, Lori, have three children. He is the fourth generation of his family to serve on the board of directors of United Citizens Bank. 

John is involved in several community organizations. He helped to start the Henry County Harvest Showcase, as well as the Hope Community Center. He is a member of the Eminence Rotary and serves on several boards: LaGrange Baptist Hospital, The Berry Center, Henry County Extension, and Tri County Community Action Agency.
